When the U.S. Constitution was formed, it was way back in 1876 there abouts... When they put in to the law for Arms.. the Arms they were talking about weren't The things that are being used today to Kill little Children in their Schools or in a dark walk in Theater, or at a Public Mall. I'm not against Guns.. I'm against what they are now using Assault Rifles, Oh.. I don't mean Shot Guns, or Hand Guns, or things like that where you go out and shot for your food,,,
How can anyone think an Assault Rifle could be used to hunt for Deer, or Bear, or anything like that?? Only think an Assault Rife would be used for was to Kill People with... In my thinking anyway

ReplyDeleteI feel ill. We don't need enemies when our own citizens are committing such horrors. Law enforcers would do well to profile these hurtful (probably feeling hurt themselves as well) murderers and enlighten us about what we should watch for. Most people know what to watch for with a possible suicide, now that we have some guidelines. I would like to know what to watch for in mass killers. He might be living in my apartment building. I would like some 'red alerts' and more public education. I hated it when 20 years ago when teaching little ones, we had to start practicing 'lock-downs' and had a secret code that came over the Public Address system. Ours was, "Mr. ...... please come to the office." and that was our warning to lock our classroom doors and move the children to the far wall floor behind tipped desks. We never actually did that with the children, fearing hysteria, but did practice having the teachers reacting to the code and waiting for someone to unlock our door and give the all clear. It is all so gruesome. I used to worry about which child I would cover with my body. Do you protect the handicapped one, or the brightest or the sweetest? Gruesome topic. I am going off to look for strange Christmas trees. I feel sick to my stomach.
ReplyDeleteAnd when Diane Sawyer interviewed that Teacher and she knew what to do.. But, she took the children in her Class into the restroom.. and hope they kept quiet..

Its just not good. I know there are lots of people that argue about the gun laws here in the U.S. But,,,, what was put on paper those many years ago has stayed away from what it was meant to be...

DeleteBarbara, it is difficult for anyone in UK to understand why people in America have all these weapons. We just don't have guns, so that anyone with a gun is a criminal. I don't know what the statistics are for burglars being shot with hand guns, maybe it happens all the time, but I suppose having a handgun by in case you are attacked makes some sense. Shotguns should be locked away at the gun club or hunting club. And like you, I don't understand assault rifles, nor multiple weaponry. They can't be just for self-protection.
